Test persons in the PanoLab see visual stimuli as if in a panoramic cinema on a cylindrically shaped panoramic screen whose picture is formed by three different projectors. The test person stands in the centre 3.5 metres from the screen, and the large area of the projection fills nearly the entire visual field. This setup makes it possible to show the test persons virtual landscapes which are very similar to the experience of natural views in the real world.
